On this "Clergy Appreciation Day",
There's some things I'd like to say,
You're a Godsend through and through
In everything you say and do.

You've been there for me every time,
To support and listen to the trials of mine.
You're a comfort and a friend when I'm down,
Keeping me aware of God's love that surrounds.

Your attitude is not critical or judgmental,
It's thoughtful, kind, loving and gentle.
My journey is still exciting and new,
and it's so great to grow here with you.

It's strange for me, having a Pastor for a friend,
But, you're so real with the love that you send.
You're a blessing and a confidant, it's true,
And with this poem, I'd like to thank you.
