Dodging the potholes of life, You are my guide,
A strong yet gentle presence always by my side.
With compassion and mercy, caring for my every need,
Lord please help me learn to receive.

I have more to give when I'm receiving,
And it also strengthens my believing.
Fill me with the Holy Spirit's fire,
And instill in me Your highest desire.

Give me courage to follow where You lead,
And grant me favor to succeed.
The faith to step out - even in fear,
Knowing that You are always near.

To fulfill the plan You have for me,
And carry out Your ministry.
Give me love and acceptance for those I meet,
And forgiveness when I'm at Your feet.
