The
sun comes up every morning and runs the same course, day after day; and it
does so rejoicing like a bridegroom or a strong man to run his course. The
sun is worshiping God; bringing glory to God; pouring forth speech!
I have always loved nature and found God’s presence so real to me when I’m in that environment. It’s true that God pours forth speech in his creation.
I am so very blessed by this week in nature and with my God. My heart wants to stay here, but I can’t – I must return to my home. Maybe someday…

On a vacation to
Ely, MN for the fall colors, my husband and I rented this really cool
cabin
right on the lake. One morning as I sat on the deck for my devotions I read:
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows and proclaims
His handiwork. Day after day pours forth speech and night after night shows
forth knowledge. There is no speech nor spoken work (from the stars); their
voice is not heard. Yet their voice (in evidence) goes out through all the
earth, their sayings to the end of the world. Of the heavens has God made a
tent for the sun. Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; and it
rejoices as a strong man to run his course. Its going forth is from the end
of the heavens, and its circuit to the ends of it and nothing (yes no one)
is hidden from the heat of it.” Psalm 19:1-6 AMP
I stopped and pondered this. I asked God to show me what “day after day pours forth speech” means.
Well, the rest
of the week, I paid attention and we didn’t have any two days alike. We had
orange sky which reflected on the water and made the water look a shade of
orange on one day, pink another; we had fog so thick you couldn’t see across
the lake and when the fog started to clear – the sky was
grey. We had blue sky and water –
everything blue! We saw
the end of a
rainbow that was on two
pine trees across
the lake from us. We had rain,
we had wind
and we had sun! And through it all –
God was speaking, He was
glorified. Day after day
was indeed pouring out speech; the
heavens
were declaring the glory
of God.
